About Squid Swimming

As a client at Squid Swimming you will learn how to safely and effectively navigate through the water. Each lesson will be thoroughly documented for you to review and use to prepare for upcoming lessons.

Squid Swimming was started in 2023 by Celeste, a retired D1 swimmer with 16 years of competitive swimming experience and 7 years of swim teaching experience.

Celeste's teaching method focuses on safety and technique, with safety always coming first. All clients learn basic life-saving skills before moving onto technique and how to swim efficiently in the water. In the event of an emergency, a Squid Swimming graduate will be able to save themselves, even if they are not immediately close to land.

Testimonials

Celeste is an experienced, patient instructor who has taken my daughter from fearful of getting her face wet to enthusiastic when in the water! - Matt T.

Celeste taught our 4-5 year old how to swim in about six months of lessons. You should see the joyous look on his face when he dogpaddles a few feet. Learning to swim is infectious and he caught the bug! -- GL, Seattle

Celeste is an outstanding swim instructor! At 24 years old, I started with no confidence or technique, but her passionate and patient guidance changed that completely. I went from not being able to step in water, swim, or float, to being able to do all these things and much more. I also love how personable she is—her genuine care makes every lesson enjoyable. Thanks to Celeste, I now feel confident and capable in water! :) -Tsion W.

Everyone should know how to swim. If you somehow made it to adulthood and are not a confident swimmer you need help. Celeste can absolutely teach you how to swim in a matter of months. She knows all the pools and the best beaches and can customize a plan for you to get comfortable breathing, floating, kicking and stroking! -ZP, Seattle
